Esile's Committee Commends Gov. Uzodimma For Rehabilitating Imo Concorde Hotel.

 

The Imo State House of Assembly Committee On Culture, Tourism and Creative Arts has commended the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for trying to  restore the past glory of Imo Concorde Hotel in Owerri.

Recall that the hotel had suffered many years of neglect and abandonment before the current administrator decided to take the bull by the horn.

 Leading other members of his committee in an on the spot assessment of the renovation work within the week, Chief James Uba Esile who is the  House Committee Chairman on Culture, Tourism and Creative Arts, commended the management team of RAYCON & COMPANY for being professional and dedicated towards  delivering on mandate.

 

Hon Esile, who is also the Member Representing Onuimo State Constituency, expressed satisfaction with the level of work so far done so far.

 Honourable Esile said: "When completely renovated, Imo Concorde Hotel will be a major tourist destination in the southeast will also  create thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities. 

"We thank our capacity Governor for demonstrating that he can bring back to life, this world-class facility."

Also speaking, a Member of the House Committee On Culture, Tourism And Creative Arts, Honourable Barrister Chisom Ojukwu, commended the quality of work being done at the site.

 He said:"We are here to compliment the efforts of Governor Hope Uzodimma. We are here to "eyemark" what you guys are doing, as we have the powers to be here at anytime. This is called oversight."

Conducting  members of the Committee round the site, the Construction Manager of RAYCON COMPANY, Mr Sarkis,  said  that the  work is expected to end in December 2025.

He said  when  operation commences, it will be the beginning of an era of superb excellence in the hospitality industry.
