Tribunal Judgement:Obuebite Congratulate Gov. Diri

  

 Jonathan Obuebite, former Commissioner of Education in Bayelsa State,  has congratulated Governor Douye Diri and his Deputy,  Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo  for winning at the  Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

Recall that Timipre Sylva the All Progressives Candidate in the November 11 2023 Bayelsa State Governorship  Election had taken Governor Diri to Tribunal challenging his declaration by the Independent Electoral Commission as the winner of the election.

But the three-member tribunal tribunal sitting in Abuja, on Monday, chaired by Justice Adekunle Adeleye-affirmed the re-election of Governor Diri in the November 11, 2023 election in the state and dismissed the petition filed by  Timipre Sylva and the All Progressives Congress (APC) on grounds of lacking merit.

Obuebite, in the statement  on Monday evening jointly signed by his wife, Anne Obuebute  read that  the victory at the Governorship petition tribunal well well deserved,insisting that justice has been served.

The statement also stated the victory at the tribunal was that of good over evil.

The statement reads in part "Today, justice has been served and your mandate and the decision of our people have been reaffirmed. 

"Your perseverance and commitment to the democratic process have paid off and the people of Bayelsa State have been vindicated."
