Look Beyond Politicians And Get Yourselves Engaged: Saboh Advises Youths

Selekebina Saboh, former Chairman of  Ekeremor Local Government Council   Area of Bayelsa  State  has advised  Niger Delta Youths to look beyond  and look for something to engage themselves so that they will be useful to the society.

Speaking on Monday in Yenagoa when he  celebrate with his mother Mrs Stranger Saboh who turned 79 years old, he advised the younger ones not to look unto other people's wealth and riches but strive to ache out their own living through hard work.

Saboh who further advised every young one to have the hope  also asked them to  hope in God  stating that by so doing they will achieve whatever fit they want to achieve in life.

Celebrating his Mum, the former local government chairman  advised all to take care of the elderly when they are alive and not  setting up big burials when they are no more.

Selekebina Saboh, who demonstrated his deep love and appreciation to his mother, described her sterling qualities as second to none stating that his mother as a business woman trained him to become a successful man hence he doesn't joke with her.

According to the former councill boss, his mother became his rallying point of survival  when he ran into debt and there was  little or nothing to survive with maintaining that that singular act and others made him to him deep respect for the mother.

He narrated " You the younger ones should look beyond the politicians and their wealth and look for a way to ache out a living for yourselves.

"Don't  also look at the pocket of your neighbors. Ask my people, farming work I was there, Timber work I was there, fishing work I was there, it was not easy, whatever you see here is out of suffering .

And on how he helped his mother he narrated " In 1998, I told  my mother that  wanted to build a house for her but  she conditioned me that I should build for my father first and that if I had another money,  I should build her own. It is not every woman in today's life that will give that kind of advise.   That gave me the zeal and it's a testimony that in the history of Egbemo-Angalabiri i'm the first to build a house for my parents.

"Today she has lived up to 79 years and  I told her that she  is  worth celebrating.  The first person that prays for me every morning is my mother.  I told her  to come so that I celebrate celebrate her now that she is alive   not when  she dead.

Also  celebrating Mama,  Ebitonmo Alakpala, the Chief Whip of Delta State House of Assembly, and the Member Representing Burutu constituency 1,  asked  that God  to grant her  heart desires and many more years.

He further prayed for the celebrant to live more than 100 years which his parents could not live up to.

High Chief Timothy Jeremiah,.a relative to the celebrant.amd  the Sowei Biwei 1 of Egbemo Clan and Fidelis Perekeme all showered encomiums on the  Mama  and  encouraged the  younger ones to emulate older persons in the society so as to live  worthy lives.
