Niger Delta Ex-agitators Pledge Total Support For TInubu's Re-election

 

As Nigerians continue to bask in the Euphoria of Nigeria's 65 years of Independence,  a group known as Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Forum, has re-echoed it's total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election in 2027.

The group comprising of  ex- agitators from Phase 1, 2, 3,said that in the past two years of Tinubu's administration, Mr President has manoeuvered turbulent waters to enrich the democratic practice in Nigeria and expanded the frontiers of development across the length and breadth of the country.

Speaking on  Thursday in  Warri, Delta State during a Press brief, General Emma Satu, the Convener of the group maintained that the various policies implemented by Mr President including  subsidy removal on Petroleum, are all aimed towards making Nigeria a united nation.

Satu said that  the group's support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains non-negotiable and sacrosanct, calling  on the people of Niger Delta Region and all citizens of Nigeria  to  support Mr President.

He said:"Nigeria has thrived democratically since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was elected two years ago. Under his watch, Nigeria has taken giant steps through policies targeted at the economy, education, health, infrastructure, power and other key sectors.

"The various policies implemented by Mr President including subsidy removal on Petroleum are all aimed  at making Nigeria a united, progressive, developed, egalitarian and virile nation as well as pride in the comity of African nations and globally.

"Our support for Mr President stems from the love,  concern and sense of belonging that the Niger Delta region enjoys in his administration. The Niger Delta has never had it so good, as we are enjoying a period of peace, stability and development across our region and that is why we are gathered here on this special occasion of Nigeria's Independence Anniversary to re-echo our total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election in 2027.

"Despite the fact that there are some challenges confronting us as a nation, the last two years under the administration of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, have indeed been momentous for Nigeria and the Niger Delta region has received immense attention in terms of infrastructural development, road construction, federal appointments, and so much more.

"For those who are wondering why  there have been gales of endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Niger Delta Ex-agitators Forum (Phase 1, 2, 3) wishes to state it clearly that our support for Mr President is because he embodies good governance culture, and respect for the rule of law and the Nigerian constitution. 

"In the past two years of his administration, Mr President has manoeuvered turbulent waters to enrich the democratic practice in Nigeria and expand the frontiers of development across the length and breadth of our great country.

"We are excited to say that Mr President through his Renewed Hope Agenda, has not only strengthened the unity of Nigeria but promoted peaceful co-existence, stability and development across the nation. His leadership has truly ushered in a new lease of life for all Nigerians, including the people of the Niger Delta.

"President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has 

displayed uncommon courage in confronting the economic challenges that have bedevilled our country for so long, stagnated our socio-economic growth and infrastructural development. 

"We are particularly pleased with His Excellency for the love he has for the people of Niger Delta region which has culminated in various developmental projects across our region. Also, Mr President won our hearts, our support and our love when he enlisted several Niger Delta sons and daughters into key government positions in his administration. 

'Mr President, of all your appointments, one particular one stands out and that is the appointment of Dr Dennis Burutu Otuaro as the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. Through this appointment,  you have given us a huge sense of belonging and we are happy and grateful to you because giant strides have been recorded.

"Backed by His Excellency's commitment towards the sustenance of the Amnesty Programme, Dr Dennis Burutu Otuaro has effectively implemented the Amnesty Programme's core mandate, which has promoted and fast-tracked the peace and stability in the Niger Delta region. 

"For avoidance of doubt, Dr Dennis Otuaro's visionary, innovative and pragmatic leadership supported by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration has fostered lasting peace in our communities, creeks and on our waterways. 

"The drastic reduction in criminal activities in our region such as pipeline vandalism, oil bunkering and theft, as well as piracy are  as a  result of Dr Dennis Otuaro's deliberate effort as an agent of change and driver of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Eight point Renewed Hope Agenda.

"At this point, the Niger Delta Ex-agitators Forum (PHASE 1, 2, 3) commends Dr Dennis Otuaro for the prompt payment of monthly stipends to the thirty thousand ex-agitators captured in the Amnesty Programme. We also commend his commitment to the Amnesty programme, prudent management of amnesty funds, transparency and accountability.

"President TInubu's achievements would not have been possible without the collaborative effort of two patriotic sons of Niger Delta, that is Dr Dennis Otuaro and High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo whose Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, was awarded the federal government's pipeline surveillance contract to curb pipeline vandalism, oil bunkering and oil theft among other criminal activities.

"While our support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains non-negotiable and sacrosanct, we want to call on the people of the Niger Delta region and all citizens of Nigeria and those in the Diaspora to support Mr President's effort to make Nigeria great again.
