The Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chike Olemgbe has described the newly completed ultra modern Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre (EIICC) and the Assumpta Cathedral roundabout fly over, as solid projects that would stand the test of time.
A statement endorsed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Peter Uwa, Rt Hon Chike Olemgbe who also, represents Ihitte-Uboma state constituency in the state House of Assembly pointed out that the two projects built within record time and about to be commissioned by the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu have enhanced the beauty, road safety and status of Owerri, Imo state capital as a modern model city.
Speaker Chike Olemgbe gave kudos to Governor Hope Uzodimma for personally maintaining close watch over the two legacy projects throughput the period of their execution by the different contractors that handled them.
Rt Hon Chike Olemgbe, stated that the Assumpta Flyover would certainly, decongest traffic within the ever-busy Cathedral roundabout axis, especially, during the ember months.
Commending motorists and commuters as well as business owners around the area for their patience and understanding while the construction works on the projects lasted, Chike Olemgbe applauded Governor Hope Uzodimma for his courage and wisdom in leading a government for the first time in history to embark on the construction of a roundabout at the popular age-long Control Post( Roundabout).
Recall that Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State executed the projects under review including so many others scattered across the state and across the local governments
