OPEN LETTER TO SENATOR DUOYE DIRI. Governor of Bayelsa state, Let KABOWEI'S and ISOKO'S in Bayelsa state BREATH. Part one

 A democratic dispensation is brought to bear with or by the existence of the legislative arm of government. 

In the same vein or manner democratic setting is tailored in line with democratic norms and values. Where there is room  for participatory governance beyond voting. 

The above is characterized by the popular phrase that minority will have their say but majority shall have there way. Even though the sanity of the majority is not critically questioned.

But where the development is completely contrary. It' becomes difficult to sustain the view that the worst democratic dispensation is better than best military regime. 

What the Kaboweis and Isokosl look in Bayelsa state is subjected to in recent times is unimaginable, as they are denied their minority rights and views which run amok of constitutional rights duely enshrined and recognized in the 1999 constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria as amended. 

The constitution of Nigeria in relation  to fundamental rights section..39 (1) is copiously deposited right to expression. 

In furtherance of the above even fellows with criminal charges is presumed innocent until found guilty..see section 36 (5) this goes to say what the Kabowei's and Isoko's are subjected to is completely denial or in other words mete slave treatment. 

Infact, right to Expression as grown to be a natural phenomenon world wide. 

The refusal deliberately of the people right  to or of expression is a known abuse of democratic norms and values. Upon that it's a clear violation of the constitution  of the federal Republic of Nigeria.

Therefore, it's not out of place to pin point  this misnomer in the governance of Bayelsa state under the leadership of Senator Duoye Diri led  government. 

In a nutshell,  governance is being reduced to the lowest ebb. Where citizens are abused deliberately and unjustly. Infact,  Senator Duoye Diri led government in Bayelsa state is growing into a full blown dictatorship.

Interestingly and unfortunately,  Senator Duoye Diri had witness and being Baptized with Legislative  practice, norms and values.

Hence,  what is in place, witness and recorded speaks volume of awareness, knowledge of Senator Duoye Diri in the legislative palace. Putting into consideration his ding in legislative corridor. 

Recently,  Bayelsa state played host to the federal house of representative committee on state creation.

In line with President Tinubu Bola Ahmed led federal government of Nigeria to create additional federating units in the federal Republic of Nigeria.

Hence,  Bayelsa state was visited and played host for public hearing on the subject matter to elicit the people views and reasonable ensure participation of citizenry in the creation exercise and process.

The above is nobility and display of democratic particulars of the federal government led by Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the centre.

 Whereas, the opposite is the case in Bayelsa state prided as the Jerusalem of the Izon nation led by Senator Duoye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa state. 

The local government councils creation exercise said to have occurred predating the presence of the federal house of representative in Bayelsa state seems to have occurred in the hidden caves of Sampou. As there is no public hearing to that effect in Bayelsa state being undertaken by the Bayelsa state house of Assembly.

Hence, the general public had no opportunity to Express, participate and contribute in that regard respectfully as citizens. 

This is most unfortunate, absolute abuse of democratic structure, norms and values in Governance. It goes to say that Senator Duoye Diri is Governor and legislative arm equally. 

As the legislature is boxed beyond recognition in terms of existence and functionality. 

However,  I stand to be corrected by Senator Duoye Diri led government in Bayelsa state on the subject matter herein noted.

The arbitrariness of Senator Duoye Diri had brought to bear certain misnomer in society. As ill misconduct of dictatorships had institution acrimony among people in the proposed  Toru Abubor lga.

Where in, old beacon is removed unjustly. That is to say the headquarter of Toru Abubor is moved from ELEMEBIRI to AGBERE via elicited manipulated signature not in consonance with known democratic practices, norms and values to justify   dictatorial taste of Senator Duoye Diri. 

The above is deposited because the relocation or removal of the headquarter of Toru Abubor lga from Elemebiri to any other community fall short of procedural steps in line to democratic norms and values. 

Another sad spore, is the Backanization of the Kabowei's and Isoko's communities in  Bayelsa state into two unjustly.

 Despite, the fact that the communities or settlements are contiguously located. 

This ill misconceived act of Backanization had remained a serious bane of under development of  lzon nation and it alike. 

To the extent that generations yet unborn shared in the pains of backanization,  it frowned at  by earlier generations and the presence. 

The above is confirmed with the creation of Bayelsa state. Until the creation of Bayelsa state, no section of lzon land and nation hosted an higher since independence. 

Therefore, why Senator Duoye Diri deliberately and dictatorial split the Kabowei's and Isoko's in Bayelsa state into two different local government in same geographical location in his proposed lga council without the people input. 

Shockingly, Senator Duoye Diri is said to be a product of Izon struggle. As he is known to be an executive member of INC under the leadership of High Chief Joshua Fumodor.

Be that it may be, in certain quarters Senator Dickson Seriake is said to allegedly frowned at the failure to maintain the old beacon as occasioned in late Chief DSP Alameyesiagha and former President  GEJ while as Deputy Governor.

Unfortunately,  it's only Toru Abubor headquarter that is said to be relocated among all of old beacons, after twenty years of existence and created by act of Bayelsa state house of Assembly. 

Senator Dickson Seriake public stand is seen as smoke screen in many quarters and Senator Duoye Diri might be suffering from hangover of Clanish nepotism of Senator Dickson Seriake , which is strongly pinned by Senator Lawrence orujakpo , Deputy governor of Bayelsa state. 

While in another sphere the public stand of Senator Dickson Seriake representing Bayelsa west in upper chamber is to snowball into integrity test. Time shall tell. 

The quest to allow the people BREATH is further strengthened. In recent  or immediate past  Kabowei day celebration 2025  in Bayelsa state, celebration was bashed unjustly by Senator Duoye Diri led government. 

A celebration that is of a zero violence, no indication of break down of law and order was stopped uncharitably, unceremoniously.

 Till day and date no seasoned reasons is advance for defilement of the people right of association and celebration. But Senator Duoye Diri led government had continued to wear bold face unreasonably. 

It's important to note that lzon day celebration holds in multiple places at a time and celebrated beyond the shores of Nigeria and it had not watered down the tempo or unity in lzon land and nation.  

Therefore, the purport of this open letter to Senator Duoye Diri led government in Bayelsa state, is  to rescind from unwholesome , uncultivated unpaged, uncensored attitudes in the act of governance in Bayelsa state and beyond. 

Secondly, a reminder that Senator Duoye Diri should not lower the place and impact of the lzon strategic struggle he is personally Baptized. 

Moreso, let his led government   be people oriented and live within the resounding democratic norms and values. 

On the strength of the above Senator Duoye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa state as a matter of urgent public importance correct, relocated the Toru Abubor lga headquarter back to Elemebiri community. 

This serve as a mark of respect  to earlier fore runners of Bayelsa state  dead or alive. 

It will reduce the negative smell on the legislative arm upon great height of achievement recorded  in Bayelsa state.

 As Bayelsa  state Assembly holds the record of the first to venture into lga creation, to the extent that other states legislative arm under study us.

This will be attested to by Senator Lokpobiri, currently Minister for oil state in federal Republic of Nigeria,  Rt Hon P.  Ebebi, Rt Hon B. Debekeme .etc

  In the same vein to eliminate the publicly signposted  dictatorships. Even  though there seem to be no street protests to the forceful marriage of unprecedented conduct in  governance in Bayelsa state. 

Well,  a school of taught holds that it's as a result of weaponized poverty that had bleached citizens reasoning capacity, is responsible for  the gate way pass.

Finally,  government is not in place to institute acrimony among  the governed, the absence of war do not indicate peace. 

Be mindful of your actions for life is too short to make mistakes that bears nightmare to the people or citizens.

Moreso, power is known to be transcend, last not forever.
