*MANIFESTO FOR A BRIGHTER ONUIMO: EMPOWERING YOUTHS, BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE.*

*INTRODUCTION ABOUT MYSELF:*

My name is Comr. Amb. Princewill Confidence Ndubuisi Ekeogu, a proud son of Ndi Uhuala in Umuala Owerre Okwe, Onuimo LGA. Born on November 3rd, 1997, I have always been driven by a passion for community development and youth empowerment. My educational journey began at De-Millennium International Nursery/Primary School, Umuna, and later continued at De-Millennium International High Secondary School, Umuna. I furthered my education at Imo State University, where I studied Government and Public Administration. With a strong foundation in leadership and community service, I am excited to present my manifesto for a Brighter Onuimo, as I aspire to serve as the LGA Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Onuimo LGA Chapter.

*MANIFESTO FOR A  BRIGHTER ONUIMO:*

As an aspiring LGA Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Onuimo LGA Chapter, it is essential to understand the role of a coordinator in driving positive change in our community. A coordinator serves as a catalyst for youth development, mobilizing resources, and building partnerships to empower young people. The coordinator's role involves listening to the needs and concerns of youths, identifying opportunities for growth and development, and working collaboratively with stakeholders to create a brighter future for all.

With this understanding, I pledge to create an enabling environment that fosters peace, security, and positive change in the lives of our youths. My manifesto is built on three pillars:

*PILLAR 1: CREATING AN ENABLING ENVIRONMENT:*

- Foster a culture of inclusivity, transparency, and accountability within the NYCN Onuimo LGA Chapter.

- Establish a youth-friendly platform for dialogue, feedback, and participation in decision-making processes.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop infrastructure and amenities that support youth development and well-being.

*PILLAR 2: NAVIGATING PLANS FOR PEACE AND SECURITY IN ONUIMO LGA:*

- Develop and implement community-based peacebuilding initiatives that promote conflict resolution and social cohesion.

- Engage with security agencies and community leaders to enhance safety and security in Onuimo LGA.

- Establish a youth-led early warning system to identify and respond to potential security threats.

*PILLAR 3: PROGRAMS FOR POSITIVE CHANGE:*

- Design and implement youth empowerment programs that focus on skills development, entrepreneurship, and job creation.

- Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organizations to provide mentorship, training, and internship opportunities for youths.

- Promote health, wellness, and civic engagement among youths through targeted programs and initiatives

*BUILDING ON EXISTING SYNERGIES:*

I, along with my 10-man executive team, will leverage the already established synergy that we have built with our leaders and critical stakeholders in Onuimo LGA during the short period we held sway as Local Government Executive Council appointees. We will harness this momentum to bring up empowerment programs, youth development initiatives, and integrations that will positively impact the lives of our youths.

*TRANSFORMATIONAL CHANGES AHEAD:*

I can assure you that with my relationship with our leaders in the federal, regional, state, and local government offices, there's big hope for Ndi Onuimo if I become the elected Coordinator of NYCN, Onuimo LGA Chapter. We have the contacts and connections to make it happen. Together, we will drive transformational changes that will elevate the lives of our youths and our community.

*- REVITALIZING THE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT CENTRE:*

I will ensure that we liaise with the Local Government Authorities, under the leadership of our workaholic/Godsent Chairman, Hon Dr. Emeka Paul Obi, PhD, to breathe life into the youth development centre in Onuimo LGA. This centre will serve as a hub for youth empowerment, skills development, and innovation, providing our youths with the resources and support they need to thrive.

*UNITING YOUTH GROUPS UNDER NYCN UMBRELLA:*

My leadership will work assiduously to bring all registered youth groups under the umbrella of NYCN. I have the vision and determination to make it happen. By uniting our youth groups, we will amplify our voices, pool our resources, and create a stronger, more vibrant youth community.

*PROMOTING PEACE AND SENSITIZATION:*

We will keep on preaching peace and steadily engaging the youths on sensitization programs about unacceptable acts and social vices that could destroy their future. Through these efforts, we will promote a culture of peace, tolerance, and responsible behavior among our youths.
