Group Commends Isiyaku Abdullahi For The Ongoing Reforms At The Oil/ Gas Down stream Sector.

 

The Anti-Pipeline Vandalization/Oil Theft & Illegal Bunkering Task Force, has commended the Executive Vice President, Downstream at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Isiyaku Abdullahi, over  the ongoing reforms, performance and successes recorded in the downstream  sector of the oil and gas.

The  group stated that  the initiative of the Downstream  sector at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, under the watch of Isiyaku Abdullahi,has deeply impacted  that part of the oil and gas value chain.

The National Coordinator of the group,  Pathfinder Fiawei in a statement on  Monday stated that a review of Abdullahi’s track record and experience before his appointment as the Executive Vice President, Downstream  sector at the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited,  showed that he is a round peg in a round hole.

 The group stated that his performance is traced to his days as Business Advisor to Group General Manager/ CEO (NAPIMS), before  being appointed was appointed as the Managing Director of PPMC a position  he professionally superintendent over.

According to the group, he was also  appointed as  the General Manager, Finance at NNPC Pension Ltd. 

The group  highlighted the results of the reforms initiated and led by the EVP Downstream to include; the upscaling of the PPMC's annual profits, Publishing NNPC's first audited financial statements in 44 years.- Saving millions of dollars for the federation.

Developing and implementing strategic financial plans and projects, Analyzing data and solving problems relating to financial performance; Building financial models and forecasts for energy operations.
