The Minister of states for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri has described the death of Chief Edwin Clark as a huge loss.
Paying a condolence visit to the family at the weekend, Lokpobiri maintained that the death is not loss to the family or to PANDEF alone, but to the entire Niger Delta and our great
nation.
He said:" I extend my heartfelt sympathies, understanding the deep pain that accompanies the loss of a beloved father, mentor, and leader.
"Chief Clark’s passing is not just a loss to the family or to PANDEF alone, but to the entire Niger Delta and our great nation.
"He was a true nationalist whose voice consistently echoed the call for progress, development and unity, especially for the Niger Delta region and, by extension, Nigeria.
" I encourage you to take solace in the remarkable life he lived, a life filled with integrity, unwavering patriotism and legacies that will endure for generations.
"His wisdom and relentless advocacy for justice and equity will be profoundly missed by all who knew him." He concluded.
