Nigeria's Drive In Indigenous Players Has Led To Marginal Production: Lokpobiri

 





The Minister of State for Petroleum (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri has disclosed that the county's drive for indigenous players in the oil sector has led to marginal production.



This he said has drawn the attention of other nations who are ready to learn the model closer.




In statement st the weekend, Lokpobiri maintained that  the drive for indigenous players has been a cornerstone of  the sector's success.



 He however congratulated Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN),  as  he joined them to celebrate their 30th anniversary.



He said:" Our drive for indigenous players in the oil sector has proven immensely productive, drawing the attention of other nations eager to learn from our model." 





"This system has been a cornerstone of our sector's success, showcasing the strength of local expertise in driving growth and innovation."



"It is on this note that I congratulate the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN), a statutory member of the NCDMB Governing Board, as I join them to celebrate their 30th anniversary."



"I  charge  you (PETAN) to view this milestone not as a destination but as the beginning of a greater journey."



"I  urge you to aim beyond national boundaries, leveraging your experience and competence to expand your impact globally."




"While the world may be shifting towards energy transition, fossil fuels remain indispensable, as such, attracting investments to maximize our resources and generate prosperity is paramount." 



"Therefore, I call on you to sustain your partnership with the Federal Government to achieve this shared goal." He advised.
