The Chairman of Onuimo Local Government Area, Dr. Emeka Obi has urged communities to ensure that they abide by the pronouncements of Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State in order to attract the dividends of democracy.
He explained that the governor was doing everything possible to see to it that no community is left behind in the provision of infrastructural facilities that would check rural/urban migration.
Speaking at the weekend at the council headquarters during the presentation of the Eze elect of Umuduruegbeaguru Ancient Kingdom, Prince Ikenna Alagba at the council headquarters, the chairman advised that every form of divisive activities in Onuimo should come to an end.
Obi described the governor as a man of principle and lover of peace, adding that any activity that runs foul on those principles will be rejected.
He maintained that Governor Uzodimma has great love and respect for the people of Onuimo adding that they should reciprocate by giving him their maximum support.
Present at the occasion were leaders and people of Umuduruegbeaguru Autonomous community, Traditional rulers of the various autonomous communities of the LGA, town Union presidents, Hon. Councillors of the area and leaders of notable organizations and many others.
