Businessman Killed By Suspected Assassins In Baylesa.

 

Cletus Aneke, a man of about forty three years  has been murdered at the Ekeki axis  of Yenagoa the capital of Bayless State by yet to be identified men.

It was learnt that the man was killed at the early hours Monday around 3am at his shop.

A neighbour who preferred anonymity at the business premises of the slain business man revealed that she came for his usual business activities  ( deals on recharge cards production and fowl feeds) on the fateful day when other neighbors raised alarm when they discovered the lifeless body of late Cleotus Aneke.

It was further gathered that the late business man was stabbed several times to death by suspected hired assassins and was found in the pool of his own blood.

It was further learnt that his killers made away with his phones, and his vehicle including other valuables that they can lay hands on.

Although the details of the death of late Cleotus Aneke were still sketchy as at the time of filling the report, further investigation  revealed that accusing fingers are  pointing at the former wife of the late business man whom it was alleged had issues with Aneke recently making to pack out their house.

  She was said to be seen  said shortly after  the discovery of the late Cleotus Aneke body  coming to asking for the keys of the shop, making her one of the first suspects to have committed the crime.

"The  anonymous witness said: Clestus Aneke was a very good man who doesn't have any problem. He comes to his shop, does his business and leaves."

"We were together on Saturday before all dispersed only for me to come to the shop  this morning and hear that he has been killed."

The state Police Public Relations Officer, ( PPRO), ASP Musa Mohammed confirmed the incidence, explaining that a team of police officers had been despatched to the scene of the incident on the order of CP ( Alonyenu Francis Idu).

He said: The Commissioner of Police (  has ordered for investigation.

The body of the deceased has been moved out of the shop  and deposited  at the morgue before this reporter got to the scene of crime.
