Mr. Dokumo Taribi West has commended Governor Douye Diri, political leaders, chiefs, elders and the good people of Ekeremor in Bayelsa State for demonstrating unity of purpose to organise the grand reception in honour of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Oil, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri and four others from the area.
He gave the commendation while fielding questions from newsmen at the Ekeremor pavilion, venue of the grand reception.
Mr. Dokumo Taribi West, a renowned business man from Ekeremor Local Government Area described the reception as timely, very important and a sign of unity, joy and the acceptance of Senator Heineken Lokpobiri by the good people of Ekeremor town.
He hinted that the people of Ekeremor has done the right thing to honour Senator Heineken Lokpobiri for his distinguished appointment as Minister of State Petroleum Resources, Oil of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria.
In his words'" I think that is why the people of Ekeremor and Bayelsa in general rolled out the drums to celebrate their illustrious son who has made an indelible footprints in the various offices he has handled."
On the issue of unity along party lines in celebrating Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Mr. Dokumo Taribi West described the event as first of its
kind in the area and expressed appreciation to Governor Douye Diri for championing the course today to celebrate the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Oil.
He advised political leaders to set aside their differences and focus on the development of the state and thanked the good people of Ekeremor for the honour done Senator Heineken Lokpobiri and the other honorees.
