Palliatives: Stakeholders Commend Uzodimma For Remembering Ideato South.

 

Political Stakeholders in Ideato South Local Government Area have commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for remembering them.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had removed the fuel subsidy immediately he came into office about three months ago and the decision had caused a whole lot of untold hardship on Nigerians especially the middle class.

As a result of that ,the federal government had given out bags of rice and about 5 Billion naira to each state of the federation although the issue of 5billion naira getting to the various states is still hanging on the balance as it was learnt that only 2billion naira has been released so far

But the question begging for answer is how many families can these feed and for  how long?.

Although in Ideato South Local Government Area, the one thousand five hundred and twenty (1,520) 50kg bags of rice which was distributed to the 152 polling units in Ideato South Local Government few days ago  was received by the sole administrator of the council Hon. Pastor Chukwuma Bede Ikeaka on Saturday.

He was said to have  set up a special compliance taskforce in each ward comprising of members of various political parties to ensure strict compliance to the directives of Governor Hope Uzodimma on the  distribution of the rice.

The people of Ideato South it was learnt  expressed their joy and happiness, thanking the Governor for his magnanimity and for directing that the palliative be shared equitably among the common people in each polling unit across party lines. 

They  were also said to have  hailed the sole administrator, pastor Bede Chukwuma Ikeaka for setting up a compliance taskforce that ensured that the distribution of the bags of  rice was not converted to a party affair or to an affair where some greedy leaders will corner some bags to themselves, rather that the rice  got to the common people of Ideato South devoid of party sentiments.
