Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State yesterday attended the Orlu Zone Development Summit 2023, a gathering organized by the people of Orlu to express their resolute support for his administration and his upcoming re-election bid.
The summit saw participants from various sectors of society convene to discuss accomplishments, future goals, and collaborative efforts towards a brighter future for the zone.
Addressing the attendees, Governor Uzodimma commended the organizers for their exceptional initiative and lauded the participants for their dedication to the zone's development.
He highlighted the remarkable achievements of his administration within the relatively short time he has been in office.
Emphasizing the state's ongoing journey towards progress, he outlined the need for consolidation on the reforms, systems, and projects that have already been implemented stressing that the upcoming phase of "Shared Prosperity" is designed to ensure the state's continued growth and advancement.
Governor Uzodimma also announced a significant collaboration between the State Government and the Federal Government to alleviate the impact of the post-subsidy removal and called on citizens of the state to remain steadfast and not be swayed by sensationalist rhetoric propagated by those who do not have the state's best interests at heart.
Hon. MacDonald Ebere, PhD, the State Party Chairman of Imo APC, who was also present at the event as a special guest expressed his admiration for Governor Uzodimma's leadership and acknowledged the immense progress that has been achieved under his administration.
He praised the collaborative efforts that were discussed during the summit and emphasized the importance of unity in driving sustainable development.
He used the opportunity offered by the event to call on all political leaders in orlu zone to work above and beyond expectation as the journey to return Governor Hope Uzodimma back to Douglas House has started.
