Imo Election:PASAN Promises To Vote For Uzodimma

 






  



The Imo State House Of Assembly workers, under the   name, Parliamentary Staff Association Of Nigeria,(PASAN)  has pledged to give the incumbent Governor,  Hope Uzodimma total  support and vote for his re-election come November 11, 2023.





Speaking during  their interaction with the State Governor at the State Secretariat  last Friday during the Governor's working visit,  the  State Secretary of PASAN, Comrade Chukwuma Anya  expressed gratitude to Governor Uzodimma for uplifting the legislative Arm Of Government to an enviable and remarkable height.




 He thanked the governor for  rebuilding, furnishing and equipping the State Assembly Complex  and making it the best Parliamentary Complex in the Country.




  He described the Governor as a visionary, focussed, disciplined and God fearing leader, who looks at issues with the inner eyes, sleeps over it, before coming out with solution. 




Comrade Anya also appreciated  Uzodimma for the approval and implementation of promotion of IMHA  Staff,  just as was replicated in the various Ministries, Agencies and the Judiciary, including prompt payment of salary.



 The comrade  informed Governor  Uzodimma that PASAN, Imo State Chapter,  had already  given directive to all its members to ensure they and their families  give   100% vote come November 11, 2023,  in solidarity, affection, appreciation and gratitude to  the Governor, for all he has done to uplift the state, especially, in infrastructure and welfare.



Responding, Governor Uzodimma thanked  the Assembly Staff (PASAN) and  Civil Servants  for turning out in their numbers to welcome him  at the State Secretariat.  




He also expressed gratitude they remembered all he has done for them, pointing out that  he had gone beyond what he promised,  like the inclusion of the 100% 13th month salary, Provisions of Consumables during the Christmas period, Provisions of Free Health Insurance scheme,  salary increment from ₦30,000 minimum wage to ₦40,000 minimum (First in the country) and prompt payment of workers  salaries.




  He said "  I did not promise you that I was going to be paying you 13th month (100% bonus) salaries  also give you consumables during the Christmas for the past two years now running but that has been done and we will continue to do it.




The Governor said he is poised to develop the state through  effective Civil Service System adding  "We will stop at nothing in making sure that this State is  further developed.



 "I care for you and I want the best for you,  and mark my words,  I will continue to do  more.


Governor Uzodimma also  informed the elated workers that the commencement of the payment of gratuities are now in advanced stage :





 "I'm glad to announce to you that arrangements are at advanced stages to commence the payment of gratuities to all our gallant men and women who spent their energetic youthful years,  rendering valuable services to our state; we will never forget their sacrifices.



 ""I am sure you will not forget in a hurry that once upon a time your salaries were neither regular nor fixed. There were times when you did not know your actual take-home pay at the end of the month; those days were the days you were in Egypt.

 I'm happy for you because those days are now gone.



The  Governor further informed the workers that he was aware of the hardship faced by the majority of them owing to the recent removal of fuel subsidy which has caused  high cost of living,  and promised that the State Government would cushion the effect by introducing palliative measures. 




He thereafter  announced that over 50,000 bags of Rice  was  already in the warehouse of the State,  waiting to be shared out. 



Regarding the upcoming November 11, 2023  Gubernatorial election in the state,  the Governor assured the workers that they are free to exercise their franchise according to their consciences as none of them will be victimized for exercising their democratic rights: 




"No civil servant will be victimized for exercising his or her franchise according to their clear conscience and convictions.
