Niger Delta Youths Are Not The Oil Thieves.

  

King Bubaraye Daokolo, Agada iv  the Ibenanaowei of Ekpetiama Kingdom of Bayelsa State  has disclossed that the main oil thieves are not those dirty youths scooping oil from the Niger Delta stating that rather they are actually the victims of  oil thievery.

He said that the main oil thieves don't reside in the Niger Delta rather they reside in Lagos. Abuja and even in Europe.

 Speaking on Monday  in Yenagoa during a pre  launch media briefing of his  two books, Once a Soilder and African Voice   King Dakolo who is also the chairman of traditional rulers council, Bayelsa State said  that oil thieves will  not want to sleep in Yenagoa overnight adding that they  will feel so unsafe.

He regretted that people including the press are not painting the story of the Niger Delta people well  maintaining that all have painted the story that has swallowed the main game maintaining that this oil will one day dry up.

He said "Those dirty youths you see carrying jericans are actually vicitims of oil theft because there is no oil theif that will want to sleep in Yenagoa overnight. He will feel so unsafe.

"They don't stay here so no oil thief is in the Niger Delta as a whole  they are in  Lagos and Abuja where thaye have beautiful homes  and they are also in Europe and America. 

"Today people including the press have  painted a wrong picture  that have swallowed the  main game. And so the picture of  oil theives  that we have are actually the victims of oil theft.

"The oil theft in the Niger Delta region will end  one day stop. I believe that it won't be forever. The worst  scenario is that you are going to see this oil dry. You are going to have a situation where you will have oil dropped which means there is alternative energy.And when you don't need the oil anymore, you won't go and be scooping it from the ground.

He disclosed that he was not happy that the west is in the center of the 

 violence happening in Africa adding that "The systematic elimination of good leadership  is worrisom.

He said he wishes  that Africa  will just understand this fact  and  the continent will be a better place to be.

On the book launch which will take place on Tuesday, he said that the Bayelsa state governor,  Douye Diri and prominent Nigerians are among dignatries expected to honour the book launch among over four hundred dignitaries that will honour the event.

On what motivated him to write the books, the King  said that there had been lots of unfair treatment  and  injustices meted out to the  Niger  Delta region saying  that those  need to be articulated.

He nothed that the  issues of the region need to be  international discourse.

He expressed his deepest admiration for the unwavering resilience, passion, and dedication of Chief Timipre Sylva to public service, insisting that his leadership style is an inspiration to many in the state.

He stated that  he will guarantee a future brimming with renewed hope and a prosperous Bayelsa under his visionary leadership.
