Dr. Nurseman Congratulates Gov. Diri On His Defection To APC

 

Dr. Ebi Nurseman Isaac, a former Chief Press Secretary of Ekeremor Local Government Council, Bayelsa State, has congratulated His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri, on his bold, thoughtful, historic, and strategic decision to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) at this crucial time.

Dr. Nurseman stated that he totally agrees with all the reasons Governor Diri gave for his defection during the official defection ceremony held Monday November 4, 2025 at Samson Siasia Stadium, Ovom, Yenagoa.

Dr. Nurseman also extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abraham Ingobere, and the majority of its honourable members, some members of the National Assembly from Bayelsa, in both the Red and Green Chambers, as well as members of the Bayelsa State Executive Council, for defecting alongside His Excellency.

According to Dr. Nurseman, he is confident that Governor Diri, as a man of peace and wisdom, will utilize his leadership qualities to unite the APC family and all Bayelsans, irrespective of religious and political divisions, and bring more federal projects not only to Bayelsa but to the entire Ijaw (Izon) Nation and South-South region in general.

Dr. Ebi Nurseman Isaac, who is also the Proprietor of God's Reward Private School, Maya, Ikorodu, Lagos, said the current President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, was represented twice during his school's End-of-Session/Graduation Programs, first in 2003 and secondly in 2004, by Mr. J.O. Odupitan, Director of World Bank Universal Basic Education Assisted Projects, and Prof. Lekan Pitan, the then Commissioner for Education, Lagos State respectively, when President Tinubu was the then  Executive Governor of Lagos State.

Additionally, Dr. Nurseman urged all the APC South-South Governors to speak with one voice and ensure the issue of fiscal federalism is rigorously pursued and achieved, where each of the federating units or states and regions controls their resources for competitive development and payment of tax to the federal government where applicable.
