APC Chieftain Calls On Governor Diri To Join His Party

  



An All Progressives Congress, APC chieftain and founder Pastor Reuben Initiative for Good Leadership and Accountability ( PRIFGLA), Pastor Reuben Wilson, has also lended his in calling   Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State   to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).


Reacting  on Wednesday to the call by calling group known as Concerned Bayelsa Stakeholders Forum that Governor Diri should join the APC, Wilson added that it  will be  a welcome development.


He noted the detection will enable the state to tap into federal projects and development initiatives,, emphasizing that aligning with the ruling party at the centre was crucial for the state's progress.


He cited the case of the Akwa Ibom State Governor who recently defected from the PDP to the APC which he said was yielding dividends adding that the federal government has started the deep seaport and other development projects in the state.


Pastor Reuben Wilson who is also a member of the Governing Council at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, highlighted some potential benefits of Governor Douye Diri's possible defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying that the Federal Government's potential takeover of Bayelsa's multi-billion Naira projects could free up state funds for other development initiatives, ultimately benefiting the state.


He called  on "those  politicians forming a coalition intending to unseat Mr. President to join forces with him considering the development strides of the present administration.


 "No gang up against Tinubu will succeed."


He dismissed the possibility of the ADC coalition making meaningful impact ahead of the 2027 general elections and vowed to mobilse to ensure that the votes that will be declared come 2027 will surpass that of 2023.


Wilson predicted that with Governor Diri's defection, APC would have a strong foothold in Bayelsa State, potentially leading to a convincing win in the 2027 elections.
