Chieftaincy Tussle: Kalawei-Ama Community Rejects Sese As Paramount Ruler.

 

The People  of Kalawei-Ama in Koluama Clan of Southern Ijaw Local Government of Bayless State have once again condemned in totality a recent  announcement by one Mr, Mientei  Kennedy  Sam that one Chief Lloyd Ebiwei Sese  was the Paramount Ruler of Kawei-Ama.

The community development committee chairman,Chiefs Elders, Stakeholders, descendants  and the peace loving  people of Kalawei-Ama in a refutal letter  said that the announcement was treacherous, abominable and null and void.

In a statement on Friday, signed by Gideon Vincent Sapere, CDC, Dokubo Hezekiah Fezigha, General Secretary, Oweikeiya Dick, Chief Believe Leghemo, Chief Ebitonghenbofa Dick among others on behalf of the  Sapere Family, Kalawei-Ama  stated that Chief Innocent Richard Kalawei Sapaere is the legitimate heir appointed  to occupy  the stool of Kalawei Stool of Kalawei -Ama.

The statement read that the descendants of Kalawei and family both home and abroad were not part of the  meeting that resulted in the announcement of Chief Lloyd Ebiwei Sese as the Highness of Kalawei.

The family therefore asked the general public,  Kalawei -Ama, Koluama 1, Baylesa State Chiefs Council, Baylesa State Government and all relevant  Stakeholders to disregard the said announcement and have no dealing with the said Chief Lloyd Ebiwei Sese and his cleaque.

The statement reads:"  In compliance with customs and traditions of Kalawei -Ama, the Sapere descendants officially inform  and introduce Chief Innocent Richard Kalawei Sapaere as the new Highness of Kalawei -Ama."

" In  further compliance of custom and tradition of Koluama Clan, we officially inform Chief Livingstone Ileberi (Chief Mangi of Mangi Idimu) who in turn informed Chief Bunafighe Thankgod James (acting Chairman,Koluama1 Chief's Council) and His Royal Highness JTC Leghemo of Koluama 1."

" The statement continued:  "Now, instead of abiding by the decision of the Highness JTC and the 12 Chief, he hurriedly took his loyalists and made this announcement." The statement concluded.

 The statement alleged that they had withdrawn the sum of N3,696,000:00  from February, 2023 to April,2024.

Reacting to the allegations, Lloyd Sese in a phone call said:" I'm the acting Amanaowei of Kalawei -Ama until this minute. For me, I'm the acting Paramount Ruler of Kalawei -Ama.". We have  not done the election so I'm still acting for now."

" I have not withdrawn any money from the community account. If anybody is saying that, let him come and prove it. If somebody withdraws money from the community account, it is fraud. They should to the police to report or go to court."
