NOA/WOMAN Organize Sensitization Programme In Bayelsa.

The National Orientation Agency, NOA in partnership with the Women Organized for Mentorship and Advocacy Network, WOMAN have organized a  sensitization programme

 at Ayama Community in Southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa State.

Thee sensitization programme was  on NIN registration, immunization and voter education.j

The event which was held in collaboration with the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC and the Eunice Nnachi Women Advocacy Foundation, ENWAF   called on the people to ensure that they obtain a National Identity Number, NIN which is useful for official purposes and documentation.

Speaking, State Director of NOA, Mr Ellis Nria Dappa stated that the essence of the exercise was to help people in rural communities who are having difficulties in reaching the state capital to get the NIN enrollment.

Mr Dappa emphasized the need for identity capture saying the National Identity Number, NIN gives people access to social protection programes, improved healthcare services and many other numerous benefits in the country.

He also noted that the exercise has  created an opportunity for the agency to sensitize and provide voter education for the people in Ayama Community on the need to vote ahead of the forthcoming local government election. 

Also speaking, Executive Director, WOMAN, Lady Eunice Nnachi pointed out that women from all backgrounds should be empowered and given opportunities to take up leadership roles in the communities and the society.

Nnachi urged the men to support the women by investing in them adding that when women are empowered, they can take care of those around them which would make our society a better place for all.

In his response,   the Paramount Ruler of Ayama Community, His Royal Highness, Chief Amen Sariki expressed gratitude to officials of NOA, NIMC, WOMAN and ENWAF for their visit to the community. Sensitization Programme In Bayelsa.
