Gunmen on Tuesday morming ambushed a convoy of Dawood workers along the Ahoada/Abua road along the East-West road in Rivers State, shooting dead Four Soldiers and Two drivers.
It was gathered that they were on their way to Yenagoa as they were said to have a Daewoo camp in the area.
The gunmen also kidnapped two Korean workers on the entourage.
It was gathered that the incident which occured at about 9.30am, causes pandemonium along the East-West road.
Some claimed it may be a reprisal attack as a military operations took place in the area a fortnight ago in which arms and ammunition were seized.
A security source, who confirmed the development, said the suspected kidnappers ambushed a team of expatriates being escorted by troops of 5 Bn along Ahoada- Obua road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to him, "During the attack, the assailants opened fire on the convoy killing, 4 soldiers and 2 civilian drivers and subsequently abducted two Koreans in the process."
