Take Your Destinies Into Your Hands, Vote Diri, Damagum.

  

Umar Damagum the acting  national chairman of People's  Democratic Party has advised the people of the state to take their destinies into their hands by voting Douye Diri whom he said has done so much for the state.

Speaking in Yenagoa on Tuesday during the grand finale of PDP rally,  the acting chairman stated that  the former president of the country, Good luck Jonathan has also endorsed Douye Diri maintaining that the former president stabilized the country during his time as the president.

Presenting the PDP flag to Governor Diri which he described as symbol of peace and unity, he asked the people of the state to go out and vote for Governor Diri  adding that by the grace of God PDP will come out victorious.

He said " People of Bayelsa, you should take your destinies into your hands on Saturday  by making sure that  you vote for Douye Diri  who has done so much  for the state.

"I'm happy to announce to you that the president who stabilized this country in the person of Good luck Jonathan has endorsed Douye Diri

You should be happy that you have such leaders in this state.

 'I'm now giving Douye our flag which symbolizes  peace  and unity.I hereby present to you  this symbol of prosperity, development, peace and by the grace of God,  success will be recorded on Saturday.

Speaking earlier, the Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri  called on Bayelsans to vote for  the People's Democratic Party come November 11  stating that the other party which is his major opponent is known  for violence.

He stated that within his four years, he  has  written out  his testimonials  adding  that he  completed unity bridge he said his  opponent comes from maintaining that his goverrnmnent has completed most of the projects that he inherited and has  embarked on new ones.

He said "My major opponent in an interview admitted that our terrain is too difficult to develop, that is a lie from the devil, out terrain is a terrain that must be developed. The immediate governor did it and we are continuing it.

"Our terrain is not difficult to develop. It is only the will for you to develop it. Our forermer governor styed it and we are continuing with that will 

" We e are all witness to the fact that we can sleep with our two eyes closed, no more insecurity in Bayelsa State. Since we started this campaign the same people who brought Famu Tamgbe have started bringing in people again to bring in insecurity to Bayelsa.  The same people who said that our terrain is difficult to develop is it the kind of people that you will vote for?

"Today we have gone into the riverrine and every where we go we are commissioning projects. We are giving them skills so that they will be employers of labour  and you know that there is a big difference between this goverrnmnent and a particular government and you know that government. Rather than telling you what they have done, they are telling you we will do.

 "So come  this Saturday, you will go there and vote and defend your votes.  If you don't stay there, they will steal your vote.  Don't give them chance, you must be there to protect your votes. They are threatening they will do this and that. Nobody will do you anything.  Don't be afraid, nobody will  come after you. If anybody does you anything, security people will come after them.

Godwin Obaseke the governor  of ESO state who spoke on behalf  of PDP governor's had called on all Bayelsans to vote for PDP come Saturday adding that  they should vote for Diri  again because he is a good leader. 

"We want  him to continue to be in our midst.  He is trying so hard to make Bayelsa one of the leading states in Nigeria.  When you vote stay there until they count your votes,  make sure that they did not rig in your polling unit. After counting let them announce the result and take pictures of the  the result and post it.

In his remarks, former Bayelsa governor, Senator Seriake Dickson, stated that he is solidly behind the re-election of his successor and his deputy, and called on Bayelsans to vote for them again.

He stated that Diri had done very well in development of the state, having built on his achievements and embarking on his own projects.
