Oguta Fresh Air Movement Hopeful Of Uzodimma's Victory

As the November 11th Imo State Governoship Election comes up in few hours time,  the Oguta Fresh Air Movement  has commended His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma,  for his excellent work as the State's executive governor of the state.

The  movement leadership, led by Hon. Uchenwoke-Ekperechi, John Mbonu, the Director-General assured the Imo state governor of their resolve to vote for Hope Uzudimma.

Speaking  at the 15th Leadership Summit of the Organization, which was held at the Ejemekwuru Primary School Hall in the Awa Ward Oguta South Local Government Area of Imo State, the Fresh Air Movement said Senator Hope Uzodimma has appointed numerous Oguta family members to high-ranking positions in his administration and helped arrange other federal appointments for Oguta citizens, including Dr. Princess Rabbi Ibrahim, Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, Barr. Francis Egwuagwu, Special Duties, Hon. Prince Dr. Henry Okafor, Commissioners for Niger Delta Affairs, Dr. Doris Uzoka, Minister for Trade, Investment, and Commerce, and Hon. Chief Kyrian Uchegbu, Ph.D., NDDC Commissioners, Hon. Williams Ezeikpe Ejiakor, SA to the Governor on Niger Delta Affairs, Sir. Collins Ughala, SA. to the Governor on Public Communication, Mr. Hassan Nwauwa, SA to the Governor, on Albature, etc.

He said the Shared Prosperity Government built and commissioned the Nzeribe's Bridge, which links the residents of Osse-Motor/Enuigbo Ward and Oguta to the late political genius of his time.

He  said that he  also renovated 11 Primary Health Centers in Oguta, reconstructed the Oguta Girls Secondary School, reconstructed the Oguta General Hospital, and named the enormous 42-Beds General Hospital after the late Senator Francis Arthur Nzeribe, a political doyen of Oguta and Nigeria.

He said that the seals of the R3 Government to the people of Oguta are the approval and grant for the dredging of the Orashi/Oguta Lake Rivers to the Atlantic Ocean, the hydrographic survey of the sea route from Oguta Lake to the Atlantic Ocean, and the creation of Oguta Naval Base.

All of these he said  are done in anticipation of an enormously beneficial seaport to be built in Oguta, Anthony, said.

"He said  during the electioneering campaigns of 2018 at the Oguta Sandfield  that he is one of us and that, if elected, he will make a transformation statement in Oguta which he has fulfilled by dredging the Orashi/Oguta Lake Rivers to the Atlantic Ocean, a project when it is finished is projected to employ over 10,000 jobs, attract foreign investors, tourists, and open up Oguta, Imo State, and Nigeria to the Blue Economy.

The Chairman of "Fresh Air Oguta is Hopeful Campaign Team," Comr. Uzoma Daniel, also gave the LGA Coordinator, Comr. Abaleke Anthony Obinna information on the progress of the campaigns in the 186 pooling booths and 11 INEC Wards in Oguta.

He congratulated every subhead of the several Wards and Booths for their tenacity in working to ensure that Senator Hope Uzodimma is re-elected on November 11, 2023, so he can keep up his excellent work.

For his interdisciplinary leadership, Comr. Abaleke extends his greetings to Hon. Chief James Esile Uba, the Onuimo representative of the 10th Legislative Assembly in the Imo House of Assembly, who is also the benevolent Founder and President of the Fresh Air Movement.

He said "As the coordinator of Fresh Air, let me inform you that our organization was formed with the social service and upliftment of the population as its primary goals. In the last ten years of the Fresh Air Movement's existence across the 27 Local Government Areas of Imo State, lives have been positively influenced thanks to the wisdom of Hon. Esile in starting.

Hon.Uba, through the Director-General for Fresh Air, Hon. John Mbonu Uchenwoke-Ekperechi, who is from Oguta, commended the Oguta Fresh Air Movement leadership for their steadfast dedication and passion in advancing the foundation's objectives.

He also applauded their efforts through the "Fresh Air Oguta is Hopeful Campaign Team," (FAOHCT), directed by Comr. David Stephen Ndukwu, to make sure Senator Hope Uzodimma wins the November 11 elections.

"I want the people of Oguta not to be swayed by the rhetoric of the opposition who have no better alternative in addressing the governance challenges in the State to note that it is a government of continuity that will complete the dredging of the Lake and other ongoing projects in Imo State."

"May I also remind you that this administration has done a commendable job and deserves another term? Another indication that Onwa Oyoko has worked for Ndi-Imo is the success of the recently finished Campaign Flag-Off, which drew the  cream la cream of the nation's citizens to the Dan Anyiam Stadium to shut down Imo State.

"Outside Security challenge which is a global issue and the governor in his efforts to curtail it is doing very well and is yielding results. It is on record that Senator Hope Uzodimma held two security meetings with the leaders of Oguta at the Oguta Gulf Lake Hall sometime in 2022 and the first quarters of 2023. Let me also crave your indulgence that Senator Hope Uzodimma's Government has initiated a couple of Peace platforms and is in partnership with relevant stakeholders and agencies.

"In the case of Oguta, I have it on good authority that the Governor is collaborating with the Roman Catholic Church via the Peace Committees established by His Grace, Most Rev. (Dr.) Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji, the Archbishop of the Diocese of Owerri, headed by Rev. Fr. Gerald Njoku, who is in charge of the Justice and Peace Commission Development (JPCD), Imo State, and assisted by Very Rev. Fr. Reginald Egbu, the Vicar- General, Rev. Fr. Charles Iregbu, a retired Brigadier-General of the Nigerian Army, and Rev. Fr. Prof. Philips Ogbonna, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics, Imo State University, as members.

"The Obudi Peace Committee set up by the President-General, Chief Vitalis Ekeh, and headed by Hon. J. M. Uchenwoke, these committees, had been exploring ways to end hostility in Oguta Local Government Areas; and I can tell you that normalcy is gradually returning in these areas, especially Izombi and Agwa through these joints efforts.

"I also want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the Obudi Peace Committee (OPC), the Archbishop of Owerri Diocese, His Grace, Most Rev. (Dr.) Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji, the priests who have expressed concern in this matter, and everyone else who supports "Life without violence" in the State because security is a team effort.

"Have you forgotten that the governor, in keeping with his benevolent and paternal personality, vowed to pardon all repentant  fellows who surrendered their weapons?  And today, the disarmament process has started with the surrendering of one of the groups in Agwa. So what exactly is all the fuss about insecurity in the State that the opposition is exaggerating while withholding from Ndi-, Imo the accomplishments of the R3 purposeful government of Senator Hope Uzodimma?

"Let us come out in large numbers tomorrow, Saturday, the 11th of November, 2023 to re-elect Senator Hope Uzodimma in our interest.
