November Polls: Amassoma People Assure Diri/Law PDP Ticket Bulk Votes

The good people of Amassoma have declared to vote massively for Diri/Law PDP Ticket in

 the November 11 Bayelsa State Governorship Election.

The declaration was made at the PDP mega rally held at the newly redesigned Ogboin North Rural Development Authority Pavilion in Amassoma.

In his welcome address, the Lawmaker representing Southern Ijaw Constituency 1 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Felix Bonny Ayah thanked God for the wonderful things Governor Douye Diri led Prosperity Administration has been doing for the people of Amassoma.

He noted that the projects executed by Governor Douye Diri in Amassoma are very visible for all to see and assured the miracle Governor of 100% support to actualize his second term bid.

Also speaking, the Director General of the PDP Campaign Council, Hon. Mitema Obodor who is the Lawmaker representing Ogbia Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives said the mammoth crowd at the rally is an eloquent testimony of the massive support Governor Douye Diri enjoys in Amassoma and an endorsement of the second term bid of the Prosperity Administration.

He said Governor Douye Diri has redefined governance via policy of decentralization as evident in the construction of  network of roads linking the hinterlands to the state capital.

Hon.Mitema Obodor informed that Governor Douye Diri has continued with the legacies of Late Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha through execution of several projects and empowerment progrommes which he stated have checked rural urban migration.

He advised the people of Amassoma to translate their huge population to massive votes for the PDP on election day.

On his part, the member  representing Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency, House of Representatives, Engr. Rodney Ebikebina Ambaiowei placed on record that there was a time sections of the Etegwe to Amassoma road failed when  Chief Timipre Sylva was Governor and did not fix the road till he left office adding that it was Chief Henry Seriake Dickson that constructed new bridges at the failed sections.

He thanked Governor Douye Diri for completing the repairs of the sections of the Amassoma/Tombia road ravaged by the 2022 flood within six months.

The Federal Lawmaker advised the good people of Amassoma not to be deceived by the antics of the APC Governorship candidate who has been known for not keeping to promise but vote for Diri/ Law PDP ticket come November 11, 2023.

Those who gave solidarity messages include  former Commissioner for Finance Hon. Solomon Apreala, who described Governor Douye Diri as a champion of peace and a catalyst for development. He thanked the miracle Governor for reinstating the sacked NDU workers and appealed to him to pay compensation to the NDU landlords from Egbedi, Agorogbene, Ogobiri, and Amassoma whose lands were acquired by the Bayelsa State Government for the permanent site of the University.

Others who gave solidarity messages include Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Kemebradikumo Wariebi,  Technical Adviser to the Governor On Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Douyi  Douglas-Naingba,  Chairman Petroleum Taskforce, Evangelist Perkins Ogede, Technical Adviser to the Governor On Higher Education, Dr. Isaiah Korikie Isaiah (Ph.D).

Others include, Mr. Joe Akedesuo, Chairman Ogboin North Rural Development Authority, Chief Aguobiri Francis, Senator Friday Konbowei Benson, Hon. Kuroakegha Dorgu, Chairman Physical Planning Board,  Hon. Kate Owoko former Lawmaker, Hon.Lovely Sogo, SSA, Engr.Charles Ambaiowei, Technical Adviser,  Hon. Akpoebidei Alamieyeseigha, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Chief Abel Ebifemowei, representative of non-indigenes living  in Amassoma, Mr. Olarewaju among others.

The PDP Bayelsa State Chairman, Hon. Solomon Agwana received a coalition of  decampees from the APC, Labour Party and other opposition parties led by Ebiyebo Pino popularly known as Director in Ogboin political family, Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Mr. Ebiyebo Pino gave the peaceful disposition of Governor Douye Diri,  inclusive governance, love for the people of Amassoma as evident in the appointment of numerous persons into positions of trust in the Prosperity Administration and several developmental projects scattered across the communities as  reasons for. dumping their former parties.

In his remarks an elated Governor Douye Diri said "l am overwhelmed by the mammoth crowd that have turned out to receive the campaign entourage".

He described Amassoma as his first home having lived in the town in time past as a teacher at Government Secondary School Amassoma.

The miracle Governor hinted that he did not come to Amassoma to campaign but to celebrate and thank them for their continuous support for the Prosperity Administration and promised to do more for the communities when he assumes office for  second term.

The Miracle Governor Commissioned the Amassoma Traditional Rulers Council Secretariat located at the town hall complex, internal link roads, prosperity victory house donated by Julius Enemugha among others.

Earlier, Governor Douye Diri paid courtesy call on the Acting Amananaowei of Amassoma, His Royal Highness Godwill Akedesuo and the Ebenanaowei of Ogboin Clan, His Royal Majesty King Oweipa Jones Ere 111.

The Royal fathers at their separate palaces gave Governor Douye Diri and his entourage royal blessings, and expressed the commitment of the people of Amassoma to deliver the PDP Governorship ticket come November 11, 2023.
