Imo Polls: Anyanwu Asks Imolites To Vote For Him.

Just as the Imo Governorship Election Comes  up in few weeks time,  Samuel Anyanwu   the Governorship Candidate of PDP in the state has asked Imolites to vote for him  urging them  not be deceived by empty promises of the incumbent.

This was as a group  known as Grassroot Ambassadors  rooting for the actualization  of PDP  Government  in the state also asked Imolites to vote for the PDP Candidate and forget about the fake promises  by the incumbent that will never see the light of the day.

In a campaign on Sunday to showcase the candidate of PDP at Umunnoha and Azara in the Mbaitoli local government area of Imo State, the people however  expressed their desire to have Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Samdaddy) as the next Governor of the State.

According to Imo PDP media, the PDP Candidate  however promised to award a contract for the construction of the Umunoha-Azara-Ifakala-Mbieri road within his 100 days in office.

He assured them that under his watch, pensions and gratuities would be paid as and when due, while education would be free at primary and secondary school levels promising that his administration would revive the local government system.

Speaking on behalf of the communities,  Nze Uchenna Ojini had lamented the lack of government presence in the community, stressing that the treatment they have received from the State government was as though they were not part of the State.

They decried the poor condition of their roads and the absence of other basic social amenities, which according to them have occasioned hardship among the population.

They rejected the incumbent Governor's selection of Mrs Chinyere Ekomaru as his running mate, insisting that they would settle for nothing less than the Governorship seat.

Ojini said: “This time we have resolved to make the best decision for our good. The only government presence we have had here came in the seven months of the Emeke Ihedioha administration and in the Ohakim era. What we have received from the Uzodimma administration is total negligence.

“Yet they have come with a Greek gift of Deputy Governorship candidate. We don't accept that. We want a Governor we can call our own and we have found that in Samdaddy.
