Imo Governorship Election: Fresh Air Movement Throws Weight Behind Re-election Bid Of Uzudimma

 

 

The Leadership of Fresh Air Movement in  Imo State has thrown their full weight behind  the re-election  bid of Hope Uzodimma disclosing that their own agenda is to make sure that he emerges as the governor of the state come November 11.

In what was seen as the most transformational and developmental spreads administration since 1999, the leaders of the Fresh Air Movement, at the Rock View Hotel in Owerri at  the weekend,  gathered to chart a way forward on how Uzudimma will be re-elected.

With a message of Senator Hope Uzodimma to Ndi-Imo and Voters for Re-election in the Forthcoming November 11, Elections, 2023", the meeting   was convened by the Director-General (DG), of Fresh Air Imo State, Hon.Uchenwoke-Ekperechi, John Mbonu, the 2023 ADP House of Assembly Candidate for Oguta State Constituency and the former ADC Imo State Youth Leader.

Welcoming members, Mbonu in his remarks, thanked His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for bracing the odds and silencing the voices of oppositions with his verifiable landmarks projects scattered across the three zones. 

He  maintained that Senator Hope Uzodimma is indeed, a God-sent Governor to Imolites not just for his performance, but also for his large heart to accommodate people, his regional adding that his  subnational leadership dexterity are top-notch.

"Above all bringing the majority of political colossus together to work for the interest of State. This is seen in the natural popularity he has enjoyed and continues to enjoy ahead of the November polls.  

 " Under the " Share Prosperity Government of Uzodimma", Imo State has about four Federal road projects, two have been completed and commissioned, the Owerri-Orlu, and Owerri-Okigwe roads. Owerri-Okpalla-Port Harcourt-Enugu Express Road is ongoing, while the Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi the immediate past governor of Ebonyi State, during his visit to inspect Federal roads in Imo State; promised to capture the construction of the Orlu-Mgbe-Akokwa-Uga road in the 2024 budget.

"Yes, in terms of tangible projects spreads, as an Agwa man, one of the oil-bearing communities in Imo State, the largest and most populated clan in Oguta; and the second single-most populated clan after Ogwa Embieri, in Owerri-West LGA, I have something I can tell you for free that we have felt the impact of the R3 Government of Senator Hope Uzodimma from the approval of the dredging of the Orash/Oguta Lake to the Atlantic Ocean, which would lead to a Sea Port in the area, the establishment of Naval Base, Free Trade Zone, the commissioning and equipping of the Senator Francis Arthur Nzeribe Memorial 42-beds Hospital, and the commissioning of a bridge that connects to Arthur Nzeribe's country homes. 

"All of these projects of the governor in Oguta alone are economically -bound which increases real estate business on completion, the local economy of the LGA and the IGR of the State at large", Uchenwoke said. 

Also speaking, the Fresh Air Okigwe Zonal Coordinator, Comr. Simon Chikwem said  Hope Uzodimma's administration has worked for Ndi-Imo in every area of development most importantly in the areas of infrastructural delivery. 

He said  "As an Umucheke born in Onuimo LGA, we have felt the blessings of this government. The Ekemele Owerri Road, St Mary’s, Eze-elu, and Ama Basil dangerous spots were fixed by this government. 

"As a zone, Senator Hope Uzodimma whipped away the tears of the Okigwe people by constructing the Owerri-Okigwe road, which the previous government abandoned, and the Okigwe-Umuahia road that is nearing completion, the ongoing Umuna Onuimo Campus of the Imo State University Faculties of Engineering and Environmental Sciences amongst other inter-state infrastructural projects ongoing in the zone. 

"This is why the Fresh Air Movement is spearheading the re-election bid  of the governor to complete these projects and do more for the interest of the State. 

Lending his voice to the conversation, Hon. Engr. Felix Ejiogu, the Fresh Air Owerri Zonal Coordinator and the 2023 ADP House of Assembly Candidate for Owerri Municipal said, " As Owerri Man, I honestly lost counts to the litanies of tangible and intangible projects that Senator Hope Uzodimma has recorded in the last three and half years. 

"These are projects that so many would shy away from or tactically spread to their second term by citing a lack of funds. But here you are, and that is Senator Hope Uzodimma for you. We shall re-elect him to do more", Ejiogu said. 

Hon. Amadi Chidi C. the Fresh Air Orlu Zonal Coordinator, and the ADC 2023 House of Candidate for Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency, described the governor as a "Light" to Imo State which he has shown brightly to disperse the darkness of poor leadership and rural development. 

"Let me digrace a bit "The 3R government of Reconstruction, Recovery, and Rehabilitation of Senator Hope Uzodimma, in addition to infrastructure delivery, has equally done well in the area of human capital development. The ongoing 10,000 Primary School Recruitment Exercise and the SkillImo Youth rank greatly in the noble overtures of this government. 

"Already, the SkillImo has graduated 20,000 youths who participated in cohorts 1 and 2. This has placed Imo State as one of the States with appreciable exporters of talent in and outside Nigeria, so we have testimonies to re-elect the governor come November 11, 2023. 

The leaders at the meeting also heaped praises on the Founder and President of the Fresh Air Movement, Chief Hon. Uba James Esile, one of the greatest mobilizers for the re-election of Senator Hope Uzodimma. 

The meeting  also discussed the proposed Fresh Air 2024 Education Summit starting in January in all the  27  LGAs and ways of funding the project.

Other leaders who attended the meeting were, Hon. Maxwell Chukwu, from Okigwe,  Zonal Representative, 1, Hon. Orjiako Martins Ifeanyi, Zonal Representative 2, Realtor Alamezie Victor Eze, represented Hon.

 Ikechukwu Akubueze, the APM 2023 Ikeduru State Constituency Candidate,  zonal Rep 1. Comr. Asoluka Anita, Zonal Rep 2, Hon. (Mrs.) Justina Obioha, the ADC 2023 Isu State Constituency Candidate and the former State Woman Leader of ADC was deputized by a labor leader, Engr. Ezeala Lucky Nnamdi, as Orlu Zonal Rep 1, and Comr. Akubuo Chika, Orlu Zonal Rep 2. 

Recall that Hon. Uba, the philanthropist of our time, the current lawmaker of Onuimo State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, and as a champion of good course, has used the Fresh Air Movement to affect lives across the 27 LGAs in the State and has emphasized his decision to serve humanity alone.
