Imo Guber Elections Will Not Be Won Through Propaganda/Blackmail

 

Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi States will be going to the poll to elect their governors in November 11, 2923. More tension as political activities heat up in Imo State.

Dr  Fabian Ihekweme writes that Imo state will witness the freest, most credible and predictable governorship election in history come 11th of November 2023.

" Infact, there will be no need for any tribunal after the election because the ease at which this election will be decided, may change the political landscape and firmament of Imo state.

"We should pray that the next four years will bring tremendous developmental strides in Imo. 

"We must begin to hold government accountable through participatory politics. We will not be deterred by the past political debacles and it is wrong to keep seeing ourselves as enemies because of our political leanings and beliefs.

" I have said this before, that no candidate will win this election through propaganda and blackmail.

 "This election will be won or lost through your track records and also your ability to express yourself on your proposed policies for the next four years. Unfortunately, candidates are busy chasing shadows. Most of them are not even campaigning.

"In the past, governments had behaved recklessly because they feel they didn't emerge through the people. 

"But this time, when they go into a social contract with the people, they will be under a moral obligation to work for the interest of the people when they get into office.
