About least two persons were admitted at a private hospital when a building accommodating about eight hundred persons caved in at the Ketu area of Lagos.
The building according to Punch was initially a school building before it was converted to a residential building.
Known as Agboye Estate on Oduntan Street, Ketu, it was learnt it first caved in on Saturday afternoon following hours of rainfall that greeted most parts of Lagos.
Then on Sunday afternoon, as residents were still trying to pick their belongings, the building crumbled again, destroying another structure inside the compound before collapsing completely.
It was learnt that the affected compound housing several defective buildings has been marked for demolition by Lagos officials.
