The Imo State Party Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), honourable Macdonald Ebere has celebrated with his fellow sons and daughters from Oru Owerre as they celebrate their Oru Owerre festival.
He also tasked them to remain committed to those cultural norms and values that make Owerre Nchi Ise unique.
In a statement on Saturday, MacDonald Ebere, PhD stated "As we gather to celebrate our rich cultural heritage during this special occasion, I extend my warmest wishes to all my fellow Owerre Indigenes.
" This festival signifies the celebration of life, love and unity among our people, making Owerri Municipal and its environs the epitome of cultural activities in Imo State.
"I am proud to witness the infrastructural growth our municipality and its environs have experienced under the leadership of the Shared Prosperity Governor of Imo State, Dist. Sen Hope Uzodimma, a man who loves and supports Ndi Owerre.
"Let us continue to offer him our unwavering support as we move our state towards greater prosperity.
"On this day of unity, I want to remind everyone that every Indigene of Owerre Nchi Ise is special.
