Amassoma Indigenes have declared the PDP and Governor Diri a failure to the community and the state at large.
They made this known in the ancient city on Saturday 26th August, 2023 when they hosted the deputy governorship candidate of the APC, Great Joshua MacIver.
Great Joshua who was in the community to receive a set of youth leaders who are dumping the PDP for APC, said he is always happy to be in the ancient city which he considers his home.
Joshua used the platform to assure the people that when sworn into office on February 14th, 2024, the Sylva's administration will reinstate the unjustly disengaged Niger Delta University, NDU workers.
He also said that the Sylva's administration will dualize the Etegwe-Tombia-Amassoma Road to end the incessant accident along the route.
The deputy governorship candidate also lambasted the Diri's administration for deceiving Bayelsans and playing politics with the development of the state.
In their various assertions, the leading defectors stated the neglect and use and dump syndrome imbedded in the Diri's led government.
The defecting leaders declared that they support the Sylva and Maciver ticket and will do everything within their powers and within the ambit of the law to deliver 90 percent for the APC.
The leading defectors are Jonathan Gilbert, Elder Tombra Akainza, Wisdom Westy, Hon. Ebiere Naingba. Others are Peter Teri who led the Action Alliance, AA Group in Amassoma and Nicholas Stephen who led various groups of defectors from Amatolo community.
